Even though multiple actors have played Hannibal Lecter in different films, Donald Trump was seemingly referring to Sir Anthony Hopkins, who played the character in the 1991 classic, The Silence of The Lambs. However, Hopkins has never said that he loved Trump on TV. He has also stated that he doesn't care for Trump in a 2018 Guardian interview.
