I heard the ultimate plan was for the smart thermostats to continuously check the outdoor temperature and adjust your ac temp accordingly to the guidelines set by the government.

After moving a couple of wires at the furnace control board, the install and setup was incredibly easy.
I also put a remote sensor in a bedroom that gives me the option to have the heat and AC to be controlled by the bedroom temp.
