I voted for Trump to lower prices. I voted for him not to cause trade wars with other countries. Now we're all going to see price increases.

I hope those willing to endure the economic hardship so we can stick it to other countries can justify to me why this was necessary. Why did we need these tariffs when we could have done something to ease the pain here in America?

Hmm. Trying to reorient our economic structure back to a production economy from a consumption economy isn't going to happen within his last term. That's going to take at least a decade.

I assume these tariffs are meant to bring jobs and manufacturing to the US, but trying to make the US a production economy again within four years isn't realistic.

He could bypass using tariffs by bringing action against other countries in the WTO system.
