I didn't vote for long term tariffs.

Trump was clear on tariffs, managing the border, cutting waste and fraud, ending the Russia/Ukraine fiasco etc etc

Wow, I've just re-read my month old thread and found this gem:

So it was me supposedly "putting words into his mouth" that OP is against tarrifs ans didn't vote for this.

People shop at walmarx and dollar general. They insist it's the same thing as quality stores. NOW they're bitching about it?! lmao

I voted for Trump to lower prices. I voted for him not to cause trade wars with other countries. Now we're all going to see price increases.

I hope those willing to endure the economic hardship so we can stick it to other countries can justify to me why this was necessary. Why did we need these tariffs when we could have done something to ease the pain here in America?
You voted for a man convicted of fraud, you voted for Project 2025, you voted for whatever Trump does, you carry some of the blame, the man is a maniac and now he is unstoppable, he can literally do absolutely anything he wants, anything.

Of course I said that. And then I changed my mind.

How come voting for someone suddenly strips me of that right? Tell me.

Not going to be knocking on you.

It's rare to see evolution before your eyes like that and good on you to refuse the cult.

And you voted for men in women's sports, to keep illegal criminals in America. Should Kamala have won, you would carry blood on your hands.

The problem with tariffs is they are hard to eliminate once they are in place. The goal is to stimulate one's domestic production.

So now you're relying on American manufacturers' to pick up the ball and make a better product. Think it'll happen? Well, go check out a full walmarx parking lot and let me know.

We've never had good trade relationships with our allies, even Canada. They've been raping my state for years with tariffs and restrictions on dairy products, maple syrup, and lumber.

The US consumes far too much, we buy too much, we over consume and that's why exporters to the US have done well, there's a demand for their goods. The United States more than ANY other nation is hooked on greed, consume, buy, buy, but that's all we do, that's why we see endless ads on TV and Youtibe and so on, we are HOOKED on consumption.

Sure, but I didn't think he'd use them to this extent. My mistake entirely.
Did you think he was joking?

Since he was elected.
