I was reading that Toyota is moving their assembly plant here from Mexico. Not that I would ever buy a Toyota. Not unless it was a 4th generation Supra. But still. that's the vision behind the tariffs.

So is Honda. Taiwan is moving their chip manufacturing here too.

The tariffs are a very good idea. So far we are the only ones paying them.

Trumps been kicking the ass's of us fiscal conservatives for years. We're greatly out numbered now a days. But there was a time when there were FC's on both sides of the isle making this country great to start with. Small limited government, that lives within it's mean.
But somewhere along the way Republicans turned into RINO's and cozzied up to the democrats. Then they became owned by them. They got weak.
And now we're $36.5 trillion in debt. We're fighting with our neighbors and allies. All places that can be cut, are. But Trump is wanting to spend even more than the savings. In fact, he's wanting to spend even the savings, as if it was real money.

The only thing coming to an end is the USD being the worlds reserve currency. By the time Trump is finished, we'll be so isolated from the rest of the world, when/if Russia and China invade us, we'll have no allies to help.
