The saying "a mans best friend" is as accurate as any saying. There are days I feel like going to get another rescue dog and even giving him the same name but my life is in too much disarray to handle that now it would be unfair to both of us.

The one situation that I feel sorry for Trump on is the fact he doesn't care much for dogs. As he said "it's better to be honest than to try and fake it" so give him credit, to each their own. I definitely miss my boy.

Sadly, he gave me purpose and we had each others backs under all circumstances, something I have never truly been able to say about another human being in my lifetime.

I am sorry to hear about your loss.

When my cat died, I was devastated. I had her 9 years. She died of liver failure. I knew I needed to heal and then one day it was time for me to see what kitty out there needed a new home. I found one. She was a black and white tuxedo cat.

Take all the time you need. One day you might go out there and see a dog that wants a new home. You'll know when it's time.

You know how I feel then. It's difficult. I knew I was going to miss him but some days I miss him more profoundly than others.

Yeah that is rough... at first you still put a bowl of water out and it reminds you one of your dogs are gone... its sad...
The most difficult part which went on for about two months was opening my door and expecting him to come to greet me. I kept saving extra food for him from my dinner and then realized there is no one there to feed it to.

I spoiled him as best I could that's for sure but it was worth it to me.

At first I would accidently put two bowls of water out and I would stop and say wait she is gone... my other dog wouldn't take a sip from her bowl... he was sad too...
