Well, this is clearly God's way of washing all those gay-indoctrination and CRT books into the ocean as a blessing to DeSantis.

Anyway, the wind will do more damage than the storm surge even if it rides in on high tide. Florida doesn't have mountains, but it isn't exactly so flat people on the coasts cannot get to some higher ground during the surge.

And yes....the water is expected to go very far inland. But it's difficult to tell while getting 6 inches of rainfall in an hour. 15' Storm surge, 6" of rain/hr and 200+ mph winds will pretty much destroy everything.

It is a city scraping event....meaning Tampa is getting scraped off the state by this hurricane.
