Not so fast ... Porky.I don't care what Blinken and Biden
claim.Or want.There were No " Humanitarian ceasefires " in previous
wars.Not in World War I or World War II,the Korean War,or Vietnam.
In fact I doubt outside the Black Comedy - Catch-22 - { 1970 }
What turned out to be a huge flop.By parodying a Military mentality.
War is no place for parody.Many examples in the 50's of World War II.
And of course in the 40's. In fact,James Stewart was refused his call
to service because he was underweight.But he managed to sneak in.
He flew 22 Combat missions.He was so affected by what he endured,saw and
felt during WW II that he was not gonna do - It's a Wonderful Life - { 1946 }
His heart was no longer interested in acting.But along came the Great
Lionel Barrymore who talked Jimmy into doing one of the best Christmas
movies of all time.
So War and a mindset are not easily parted.Or up for bargaining as if
a saturday night game of poker with plastic poker chips,instead real
moola.Artsy-fartsy men acting all cocky tough.Up past their beddie time.
Get the drift.

" In war there is no substitute for victory."
" Old soldiers never die; they just fade away. "

You should never stop a decent and hard fought battle at half time .
It would be like reading a damn good thriller and finding out that some illiterate bastard had torn out the last two chapters .

Which explaines { not Parody } my dislike of the bastard-made
movie - Inglorious Basterds - { 2009 } where Mr. Frankenstein
Forehead { Quentin Taratino } plagarized the title.
From the 1978 movie - The Inglorious Bastards -.
I never could stand anything Taratino put to film.
In whatever capacity.His - Natural Born Killers - { 1994 }
was about as degrading sick to the core as humanly possible.
That Movie was Banned up until a few years ago.
I think if Walt Disney was offered a choice between being in some
Japanese WW II stalag over having to sit thru Natural Born Killers
he'd have chosen the first.Or if having to watch Natural Born Killers
or give up his best friend { cigarettes } he'd toss away his Lucky Strikes.
