The 2nd amendment actually covers two concepts, that the States retain the right to form their own armed forces, something they worried about a federal government banning, and the people's right to arms.

You don't understand what a "militia" is, do you? Go read Justice Scala's explanation and determination that the right to keep and bear arms is an individual right. It is in the Heller case.

Deal with it, most of the men who did the mass shootings shouldn't of never had a gun, and they should have been taken away from them.

Elections have consequences.

Since anyone can easily get guns illegally, just as they do drugs, then how do you propose to keep guns away from them?
Gun control laws only prevents honest people from being armed, so do harm instead of good.
The reality is you can never control weapons, so then the way to make society safer is public health care that can more easily and quickly identify those who should not be allowed free on the streets at all.

The people who would take guns away from others likely are the dangerous people we need guns to protect ourselves and our democracy from.

Somehow you liberals will have to be forced, coerced, and compelled against your will to stop calling people "crazy" and on that basis going to court to revoking our gun rights and offer "mental health" services on an involuntary basis, and treating all of us as wards of the state.
