To save inner city schools:

1. Promote traditional marriage and families and make unnecessary single parenthood undesirable again.

2. Enforce law and order

3. Throw out all the leftists, make them take early retirement, or otherwise (legally) get rid of them.

4. Replace the leftists with MAGA/Patriot/conservative/liberatarian (little "L") teachers who believe in and encourage critical thinking, logic, reason, and teaching all the facts and concepts of a subject and encourage the students to do comprehensive evaluation in order to reach conclusions. And allow the students to question, offer their beliefs and insights, and never make their God unwelcome in the schools.

And teach real subjects--language, math, reading, writing, science, geography, civics, the arts etc. No 'woke' or PC concepts allowed. While the students will learn about politics and will be free to discuss religious beliefs appropriate to the context of the subject matter, no student will be able to discern the political leanings or religious beliefs of any teacher.

And put the maximum possible resources within reason into the curriculum and teach staff and the materials they need to teach.

I believe if we do that, the necessary funding will be there.

It is a national tragedy and the direct result of ill advised, very wrong government policy and initiatives whether or not well intended.

Which is why the first item on my list to fix those schools is to make unnecessary single parenthood unpopular again and restore the traditional two parent family.

Parents often get in the way of their children's education. Neither of my parents regarded our education as important. Neither of my parents ever asked to see my report card or asked how I was doing in school.

By making it a cultural norm again. Make unnecessary single parenthood unattractive, undesirable, something to be avoided again--I am not saying shame unwed mothers but don't make them appear desirable and virtuous and victims either. You do that by providing more financial benefits such as tax advantages to the traditional family and make it more desirable to form traditional families than just living together or staying single.

You promote the traditional family as a good thing on television, in advertising, in government announcements, whatever. Change the culture to think of the traditional family as the way it should be again.
