How to save inner city schools.

Can anyone who is following this thread point to an example of a school district that significantly improved its academic outcomes with additional money?

Adding money is done all the time, with promises of better outcomes, but it seems to me that they never actually result.

It's what is done with the additional money that could make a difference. Liberal school districts allocate most to higher teacher pay without regard for student achievement.

So you want to base property taxes on race. Why not raise those taxes and increase the rent the poor need to pay. That’ll work.
Money comes from the same pot. If the inner-city neighborhoods will reduce crime there will be more money for schools without raising taxes.

Why is it that with liberals, the solution is always “increase taxes?” With the left, taxes only go one way, up. They are also very creative in looking at for ways to create new taxes.

Do these people not learn from history?

If liberals had their way, they’d take it all and have government give everyone an allowance based on what they think we earned.

I can't account for the greed of other landlords. I never raised my rents because of increased property taxes. I kept my rents low, made improvements, and still made good money.

"In the U.S., public schools are primarily funded by state and local governments. Local funding comes from property taxes, favoring wealthier areas, while federal funds (about 8%) support programs targeted to student needs, like Title I and special education."

If education is the way out of poverty inner city schools should have the resources needed for this goal. If higher property taxes are needed, so be it.
BS.

The point is that you have no ******* clue what you're talking about, you ignorant big mouth.
Say what you want about me, but I’ve beaten the shit out of you on this subject.

You do not discuss. You flame, you troll, you filibuster, you pontificate, you insult, you post no-content one-liners.
Browse through this education forum. Who even tries to discuss topics relating to education? Go ahead, go take a look.

And yet YOU only ever post shit like this. Doesn't anyone actually want to discuss education?
I have been disussing it. All you’re doing is demonstrating the failure of a public school system somewhere.
