All we know from scripture is that "in the beginning God created the heaven and the earth". The earth already existed prior to the seven days of creation spoken of in Genesis, Moses, Abraham, etc. So there is no indication of time in scripture of when the earth was created other than in the beginning.

Genesis 1:1-2
1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

Moses 2:1-2
1 And it came to pass that the Lord spake unto Moses, saying: Behold, I reveal unto you concerning this heaven, and this earth; write the words which I speak. I am the Beginning and the End, the Almighty God; by mine Only Begotten I created these things; yea, in the beginning I created the heaven, and the earth upon which thou standest.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and I caused darkness to come up upon the face of the deep; and my Spirit moved upon the face of the water; for I am God.

Abraham 4:1-2
1 And then the Lord said: Let us go down. And they went down at the beginning, and they, that is the Gods, organized and formed the heavens and the earth.
2 And the earth, after it was formed, was empty and desolate, because they had not formed anything but the earth; and darkness reigned upon the face of the deep, and the Spirit of the Gods was brooding upon the face of the waters.

Genesis 1

1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

God ~ the universe was created and had a beginning.
Polytheists ~ the universe has always existed.
Christians ~ the universe was created and had a beginning.
Science ~ the universe has always existed.
Atheists ~ the universe has always existed.

Einstein was one who believed the universe had always existed, and that it was static.
It wasn't until he looked at the universe through Hubble's telescope that he realized the universe was in motion and expanding. Because it was expanding, Einstein realized that it could be followed in reserve to the beginning. And voila,
science discovered more of God's handy work.

Was there a Hubble telescope when Einstein was still alive?

Is thatvwhat the Bible says?
Yes.
We know He wasn't referring to a disk, because there is no disk to be found. We can go around the world and not fall off at the edge.
Scientifically, we know He wasn't talking about a disk, or a flat circle because He told us there were 10 dimensions. A disk has 2. A circle, 1. :eusa_angel:

Folks, we have a few places on Earth (such as the far eastern shores of Nova Scotia) where tectonic forces have not yet recycled all of the ancient surface rock and there is still old crustal rock there dating back about 3.8 billion years old.

And today, we have dating methods which are incredibly clever, accurate and impossible to defeat, to know these ages are true!

So if we can still find rock around unscathed from 3.8 billion years ago, how could the Earth or universe be younger?

And scientists have found biotic remains dating back as far as 4.2 billion years.

That effectively ends all arguments for anything being only 6,000 years old.

Circles are not spheres.

Sorry.
I know. What shape do you think the earth is?
God creating day and night can happen with a sphere, but not on a disc.
He circled the earth with the firmament. It went around the earth.

Ecclesiastics 1:6 The wind blows to the south and goes around to the north; around and around goes the wind, and on its circuits the wind returns.

^
Around and around, not from one side to the other and back.

What shape do you think the earth is?
Not a circle.

That's how I know that Bible verse is yet another example of exactly what we should expect from primitive, illiterate, superstitious people who didn't know the Earth is spherical.

A circle is 1 dimensional. A disc, 2.
On earth, the wind goes around and around the earth. It encircles the earth.
We can play semantics all day long. But we have proven that God wasn't talking about a disc or a flat circle when He described what He created. He knew all along. It took us awhile to catch on. No one has ever fallen off the edge of the earth. God must have been describing something else...

Circles are not spheres. Also, they are flat.

Sorry.

Rainbows are circles. They are not flat. Note the curve. We see an arc. God sees a circle.

Circular rainbow: Rare optic effect seen from the air.

And here we see no disc with a circle around it...
