How many of us at USMB regularly workout?

Running, weight training, distance walking, swimming, tree climbing?

I have steadily since HS, in the military, at uni, and in the private and public gyms.

We all know that it is good for us.

Tell us what you do.

I lift weights five days a week at the gym. Occasionally, I'll run or hit the bag an additional day.

I use weight machines for pulling and pushing for trim and line but not weight or bulk.

Running is a love of mine.

After the Army, I parachuted some but not in years now.

I did some rafting during the summer, but I have not in probably seven or eight years. I have a younger sister and her man who run a rafting business; they make some money but do it because it permits them to get out on the water most any day of the week.

I do something but I'm not going to discuss it here. A thread such as this is useless because it's just an invitation for everybody to make their obvious bullshit claims.

It generally means that the greater is really the lesser. LOL

I wrestled and played rugby during college, and after college, I continued playing rugby until my mid-40s. I worked out 5 days a week in preparation for rugby games, and have continued working out after I stopped playing. So now every day I lift weights and do cardio for no less than an hour.

I do the odd set of pushups and basic calisthenics just to avoid muscle atrophy.

I miss the gym greatly and it's been many years since I last visited one. The gym is the one place that no matter where it is or even how old G-d allows me to live, I just feel comfortable, my body responds positively as it is accustomed to the feedback.

The key now is diet and fasting to maintain a healthy weight and clean cells during autophagy. The body appreciates the rest from digestion and destroys old cells and replaces with the new.

Every single day. It's not always intense or crazy, but I feel like crap if I'm not somewhat active.
A good answer! This thread didn't have a good start, but everybody is paying attention by toning it down!

Regardless of what everybody 'does', it's always best policy to not blow your own horn too much!

Good for you!

Yes, I do daily strength training, I work out with weights every other day, as well as doing 50 pullups (5 sets of 5, twice daily) and on my rest day I do 70 pullups (5 sets of 7, 2x) and I either ride my bike or walk daily. It is currently around 90 and humid and I just got done with my hour long walk (2.85 miles)

Yesterday I rode my bike on a hot day 24 miles, with hills. About an hour and 45 minutes. The whole second half of the ride was headed south into a 15-20 mph headwind. I've never been in better shape than I am now.

After Mud and Blood, Your Bod's a Dud

The Marines overworked me on long-range combat controls in Vietnam. I've suffered from that brutal pressure for 60 years, each decade bringing on a new stage of weakness. Avoid pushing yourself too hard.

Thanks for your service. 👍

I had to stop doing pull ups. I developed bad tendonitis in my elbows from them.
