That generation believed in consequences. I think I got my last swat in school when I was in 8th grade for fighting. That was the early 60s. My folks had a pat policy for that. LOL, they figured if I got swats at school, I must have done something to deserve it (they were right.). Their position was if I told them about it, I would get more so I was mum on the subject when I got swats in school.I'm one of 3 brothers raised by a W11 combat vet.......i'm sure you can guess the details ~S~
I only got one paddling from the Principal....It was kinda-sorta deserved. A fight broke out and I did not get out of the way in time, I got punched, and then it was on!That generation believed in consequences. I was a military kid -- went to 12 schools in 12 years and was always new. I think I got swats in every year from third grade to sixth grade--I won't deny they were all earned.I only got one paddling from the Principal....It was kinda-sorta deserved. The Principal was a Bataan Death March survivor and did not stand for any foolishness.
