how long should it continue?

We know the investigation into Russia and trump has gone on for almost a year. As of this day we have on the record testimony that there is no evidence of collusion between trump and Russia. How long do we continue this investigation when there is no evidence? If you are for more investigations, at what point would you be satisfied that no evidence exists? If there is no evidence in six months? In a year? 4?

One day less than the Benghazi witchhunt.

So you don't really care about any facts you just want an investigation

Proof that conservatives have no sense of humor....

You have not heard anything because the investigation is SECRET.

Comey asked for more funding and more time.

He must be on to something.

As soon as the FBI or DOJ announces that the evidence that they are investigating has yielded proof or no proof of criminal actions. Of course there is evidence, what do you think they have been investigating for a year? There wouldn't be an investigation if there wasn't evidence. What hasn't been shown is proof that the evidence shows criminal activity or not.

Do you really think that with all the leaks that have occurred that if there was ANY damaging evidence against Trump that we wouldn't know about it by now? The only reason why the investigation is still ongoing is for political purposes and that's it.
I'd like to think that this investigation would have been over by now if Trump and the whitehouse had been honest and forthright. Instead we have lie after lie, distractions, and actions pointing to a cover up. I've said for months that I didn't think there was criminal collusion between Trump and Russia. I thought the extent was a coordination between Trump and Flynn to tell the Russians not to react to Obamas sanctions followed by a cover up to hide Trumps hand in that. The more time that goes by the less confident I get that that is the extent of it.

Comey and others have testified that there is no evidence of collusion between Russia and trump. Having the FBI say it again will satisfy you?
Then the investigation should be over.

Probably as long as the Benghazi hearings..With the same outcome...

lol If it is not evidence of criminal activity what is it evidence of?
It's evidence that is being vetted and investigated. Obviously it's not finished, it's not provable at this point. If the evidence is disproved then the investigation will end and all will be cleared. If it is proved then it will be announced and yes there could be criminal charges.

According to James Clapper, Obama's DNI, and Democratic Senators Joe Manchin and Diane Feinstein, there is no evidence of collusion. Feinstein and Manchin get deep briefings from the FBI and intelligence services so if there were any evidence at all, they would know about it. After a year of investigation without a single piece of evidence of collusion emerging, it should be apparent to any reasonable person that there was no collusion. What we do have evidence of is deep and pervasive corruption within the Obama Justice Department and the Obama intelligence services that promoted rumors of collusion to perpetuate this bogus investigation to influence the election and to now provide the fractured Democratic Party some scant hope of seeming relevant.

That may be true, but to the same effect you have to admit that the same kind of obstruction is currently happening between Trump and the DOJ to shut down the investigation. Especially after the events this week involving Comey.

Additionally, how does an investigation continue if there is no evidence at all? What is being discussed in these hearings? What are these agents spending all this time doing? Try to give an objective realistic answer

Political pressure from the democrats and the MSM. That's it.

The FBI keeps appropriate Congressional committees informed about ongoing investigations of interest and according to Manchin and Feirstein has not been able to supply them with a single piece of evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government. A year of investigation without a single piece of evidence means there was never a serious investigation of collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government.

So continue with that please... with realism... The FBI sits down with the congressional committee and says we have no evidence of anything. What else do they talk about? How could they possibly leave that hearing and continue the investigation? What are they investigating?

Of course I wasn't invited to the closed door briefings, but according to three reliable sources, Feinstein, Manchin and Clapper, there was no evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government.

My guess is that the investigation began under pressure from the Obama administration to investigate rumors of collusion being alleged by the Clinton campaign and then after Trump became President, I think concern about being accused of covering up evidence of collusion led the FBI to continue the investigation or at least an appearance of an investigation because no one wants to be seen as being soft on national security. Comey was already being accused of costing Clinton the election, so what would he have been accused of if he had shut down the investigation after Trump was elected? The bottom line is the FBI has been unable to provide members of Congress with any evidence of collusion in closed door meetings.

Well I tell ya RDD, when I see Rice going on the Sunday talk shows telling the world the Benghazi attack was a demonstration that got out of hand and I then see the footage showing no demonstration until the attack, and then I find out RPGs were used (who brings RPGs to a demonstration), and then I hear the Undersecretary of State saying the next day that is was indeed a terrorist attack, and then I find out Hillary told her daughter AND the Egyptian ambassador that is was an attack and then I see Obama and his administration lying to us about that incident for 2 or 3 fucking weeks, not to mention lying tot he families of the deceased over the coffins, and we weren't prepared to assist those guys after an attack in Cairo the night before, well that sorta pisses me off. 4 Americans died because the President told us during his re-election campaign that the threat of terrorism was over and he wasn't going to do anything that contradicted that narrative. We shouldn't have been in Benghazi in the first place, and if we were then we should've had a stronger security team there, and we should've had people ready to go that might in case of trouble yet we did not. And the only reason, THE ONLY REASON was but our buttfuck of a president was running for re-election.

As far as Trump is concerned, to this point we got NOTHING after almost a year of the investigation. How long does it fucking take to find any incriminating evidence?
