Looks like the preppers ready for Doomsday are having the last laugh. While the first weeks after the shutdown was a rush to the supermarkets in search of food and toilet paper, looks like things have calmed down for now. At least until markets announce they can't stay open because their employees won't come to work anymore, and Trump announces it will be another two months..

So I'm wondering what is everyone ready for? Two weeks? A month? Did the preppers make you see the light and you are ready for more? Taking a pulse on American preparedness for SHTF. It hasn't yet you know.

I’m ready to take this ride all the way to the scene of the crash...

Half-assed prepper here. Nobody's laughing.

I could stay in the house for another month but might need to make a trip to town for a couple things once a week.

Haven't needed to break out the MRE's yet and M40 gas mask is a little difficult to breathe through, but it filters biological agents.

Yep. After a month, might be in MREs by time I open th pool.

Before virus... maybe 2 to 3 weeks. Now 5 weeks or so. And I'm not talking fresh foods. But could easily get by 4 to 5 weeks before I start working on my 50 pounds of lard.

...I do have about 10 years of guns and bullets though.

If it lasts too long, all that means is that the peppers will be the last to go.
God forbid if that is the scenario, what will the peppers have gained?

6 months really? Wow Drifter are you a survivalist?

No, but my boyfriend is. He has had all this before the crisis. We live in Utah and Utah is a prepper State because the Mormons are preppers. Food Storage
Oh yeah, my first boss when I graduated college was a Mormon survivalist. That guy was hard core! He owned military style personnel carriers and weapons and would take his group up into the mountains for 'training exercises'. He died of a heart attack in his 40s, the dude was way too stressed about things. Hopefully your boyfriend is not at that level.

if it goes that long the hard core preppers will be the ones to repopulate the planet,,,

as for mormons,,the general rule is to keep a minimum of 1 yrs food on hand, the deciding factor is if they are in the city or country,,,

This has been the goal of the rich. This virus is perfect for conservatives. Now we have the republican dream. A small number of rich, a small merchant class or middle class and the rest they call the rabble.

It always will. Not all of us will stop working. My company can’t function without me. I just work from home. Eventually things will go back to normal. Obama level normal. Same normal you had last year. 2.3% growth. Maga my ass. So the masses are screwed. You won’t be getting a raise for another 5 years.

But hey, you libertarians say jus5 let the market work itself out. No guberment checks.

and why do you all need money from the guberment so soon? It’s only been a month.

and for you anti guberment republicans, send your checks back or you’re all socialists.
