Therein lies the problem. At no point did trump tell anyone he was doing this to help his campaign, or to benefit him personally. That is something left wing media started, and everyone ran with it until it became the official narrative.

Joe biden did a quid pro quo because he thought there was corruption and he wanted to root it out and made a deal with ukraine that they have to root out the corruption or they wouldnt get the aid.

Is it not possible that maybe trump really had some information that Ukraine was in possession of the crowdstrike server, and, that there may have been some foul play in regards to the firing of the prosecutor, and thus trump wanted to have those things looked into?

It may very well be that trump is guilty of all of the things the left has accused him of, but, it is something nobody will ever know because only trump knows WHY he wanted these things done, everyone else can only speculate. At the end of the day, it was left wing media who said trump wanted dirt on biden to benefit his campaign.

The why matters here, because without it, it means the left is trying to punish trump for the very same thing biden did.
