How Elon Musk cut costs at SpaceX, Tesla, X and what it means for DOGE

DOGE-boi does not have authority to fire anyone.

DOGE-boi does not have authority to abolish agencies or cut spending.

Those all require congressional approval.

DOGE-boi is jerking off in public. It's theater for the rubes who enjoy watching a freak masturbate.

The thing is I think a lot of these jobs/sections/bureaus have outlived their legislative backing.

They just continue on via sheer inertia.

Plus, the legislation creates the agencies, it doesn't create every single work slot.

That seems pretty successful, actually.
Oh? It's still here, and growing every day. More and more are using it to spread real news. Not propaganda.

That's why the progressives are so desperate to destroy it.

Heck your dumb bitch, madcow wants the government to take it away from Elon.

They still know it's extremely powerful.

If anything good can come out of a Trump presidency, I certainly hope this is it. Government spending and bureaucracy is out of control and has been for years. With the federal government taking in almost $5 trillion per year, it's absurd we are still running deficits.

I fully agree with the sentiment, but I don't think he is the guy for the job.

He and Trump are fully charmed, though, so I look forward to being proven wrong.

Space X sends unmanned and manned spacecraft into low earth orbit rather easily at an economical price compared to NASA having complete control. It does the same with unmanned craft into geostationary and deep space launches. Space X's Starship program will send human tended spacecraft to the moon and mars as well as low earth orbit at a reasonable price if proven.

subsidized largely by the government. There would be no Space X were it not for Federal money.

DOGE is an imaginary government commission which Trump has named Musk and Ramaswammy to potentially lead.

Musk, being as much of a publicity whore as his boss, is going around making dark threats and empty promises.

The set up is perfect for zTrump, as it gives him a couple of pith pieces to spread disjunction with.

As well as a convenient way to sideline them when he’s decided he doesn’t need them any more.

Which is what is going to happen.

in 2022, nearly five billion in ad revenue
in 2024, just two billion in ad revenue.
With 1/7 the labor force.

Not to mention the ad revenue is just an estimate (X is a private company) and Musk has stated repeatedly he's moving X away from an Ad centric revenue model.

DAU and MAU indicate that X is doing just fine.

Space X is a meritocracy. NASA and Besos' Blue Origin have huge DEI initiatives. Musk is leaving them behind....

Incredible video of the 2nd successful catch of a reusable super-heavy booster....

X has lost 75% of its value since Musk took over. Tesla's stock price has been flat for years. SpaceX is only recently been earning money.

What was your point again?

Oh, and don't forget both Musk and Trump demanded Congress suspend the debt ceiling during the most recent budget fiasco.

There is only one reason to suspend the debt ceiling, and that is to allow for astronomical overspending.

So what was your point again?

Twitter has 611 million users, which is more than 150M more than when Musk bought it. It's leaner and meaner, so it should be worth more, all else being equal.

Twitter works better than ever too, so the valuations simply don't make much sense. Since Twitter is no longer traded, its current value is completely speculative.

Most importantly, Musk helped save free speech, not only on Twitter, but also across the internet, as even facebook has announced rollbacks of censorship, and that's priceless. Musk deserves and will receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom for his efforts to save Democracy from the hands of tyrannical Democrats.

“The closest thing to eternal life on earth is a government program.” - Ronald Reagan

The thing is, Musk will cut anything which doesn't serve him or competes with him, and expand anything which helps him personally.

He's already received billions in government subsidies. I wonder how he stands the stench of his own hypocrisy.
