I was missing my birth certificate and had to use my old license to get that, then use the new birth certificate to prove who I was to get the Real ID. Using government issued documents to get more government issued documents.


Complete waste of my time and money.

You are talking about screening (that means to check) for Visas (that means you are allowed to be here). They would not have Real ID, they had passports.

Jumping through hops? Haha did you get one? I did, when I had to renew my license. I had to go anyway to renew my ID under current law and simply bring a couple forms of proof such as my birth certificate and an electric bill. Not any hops at all
