I don't think that they will be so quick to act against the next Republican president. That's what Trump's retaliation will accomplish.

The DOJ/FBI will not be filled with people hired and promoted during the Obama years, the deepest of Deep Staters. They will have to purge the Trump hires/promotions and find people willing to go after former Trumpers once he is gone.

I'm hoping for the high road, I really am. There are three more years of Trump left, and at least a fifty-fifty chance that it will be Vance or another Trumper the next four.

I'm hoping your leaders, MarcATL will go to Trump, a little hat in hand perhaps, and ask for a truce.

Of course that will be a negotiation. The Democrats opening will be "eh . . . stop prosecuting us, and we promise that we won't use the justice system to go after your people when we're in control, not that we ever did such a thing."

That won't work. Any such deal will have to include an acknowledgement of the wrongdoing, and a purge from the party. The purge won't get everyone, just some sacrificial lambs like Kevin Clinesmith, but the pound of flesh must be paid.

Roe v. Wade was overturned, not repealed.

As long as the FBI leadership and the agents they had in the Capitol do not pay a price for Jan 6th, why should anyone who was not there pay a price? The ones who were there were given disproportionate sentences and served their time. Doesn't mean they were right to riot, but it does mean that they paid the price, which tens of thousands of rioting Democrats the previous year did not.

Roe v Wade was the second worst Supreme Court decision in American history. It was pulled out of Harry Blackman's asshole. It had absolutely no basis in law whatsoever.
