Everyone says they hate the 2 party system. Why don't Trump, Cruz, Hillary and Bernie all run? You know Republicans aren't going to be happy if Trump gets the nominee and Trump isn't going to be happy if they give it to Cruz. Bernie is the far left candidate and Hillary is the moderate. We should run all 4 and see who America picks. Maybe every election should have 4 candidates. Whoever the last 2 are in each party. Far left, moderate left, moderate right and far right.

It sounds good, but as someone living in a state that has had three people running for governor in the last two elections, what happens is someone gets elected that less than half the state approves of. When there are two people, at least 50% of the people have approved that person. Our current governor won twice with under 40% of the vote. 60+ of us have been very unhappy about who our governor is for years.
I've thought along the same lines as you, though--what if they would team up? Clinton and Bernie/Trump and Cruz? Almost like having a bi-partisan team running the White House, the candidates have such a lot of daylight between them. If they could agree to work together, they might come up with some good ideas.

Get rid of the primary and make it a open election. I could dig that with these rules:
(1) To be on the ballot you must be polling at 2% or greater name wide.
(2) No more electoral colleges. We are one nation. Popular vote rules.
(3) The winner must get at least 50% or there is a run off btw the top 2 regardless of party
(4) Must poll at least 5% to be in the debates
(5) Have strict voter ID
