Republican Rep. Fred Upton says he has received over 1,000 calls, including multiple death threats, since he voted Friday to pass the bipartisan infrastructure bill – a measure he helped write earlier this year.​

The calls began when fellow GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, of Georgia, posted Upton's phone number online following the vote. She called him and the other 12 Republicans who voted for the bill "traitors."​

An Upton spokesperson said 90% of the calls are coming from outside the congressman's district in southwest Michigan.​

One man from South Carolina purportedly left a message in which he said, "I hope you die. I hope everybody in your f---ing family dies."​

The fact is we are a divided nation and getting further and further apart. Repub voters keep getting shoved to them RINOS. Frauds. I understand in some areas they have to be careful. Progs vote in near lockstep. And the ones who did not for the bill passed felt the it wasn't far left enough. Repubs keep saving their asses. Old ones leave and new ones show up in the party. The three supreme court judges should be exact opposite of the three total Prog judges and are not. And Roberts seems to be another shill plant for the elites. The Roads and Bridges are authorized 110 Billion Dollars in this 1.2 Trillion Dollar Bill. It is estimated that at least 540 Billion Dollars are needed just for those two items.

The proponents of a massive spending bill love to frame it (like a good piece of advertising) as something that is in support of stuff we usually want. We all want bridges to be repaired so as not to fall down and go boom. We like roads and highways being repaired regularly to help us travel without fear of tires getting destroyed by pot holes. We do tend to like wide spread internet service and so forth. Lump it together and call it “infrastructure” so it seems dangerous or unAmerican to oppose it.

But, whatever you do, don’t talk about how the fuck we PAY for such things. $1.85 Trillion in one pork-laden bill alone?

We have just hit the highest current rate of inflation in about thirty years! We are in unfuckingbelievably and irresponsibly massive debt. We run deficits like the word “budget” has no meaning and as if there will never come a day of reckoning.

so yeah. Let’s ask the unpopular question. Fuck the sales pitch for an “infrastructure” bill. How on Earth are we ever going to pay for this massive new spending? Is there not a person on the left who gives a damn about our collective irresponsibility and the inevitable price we will all have to pay for all this debt and deficit when bill comes due?

Republicans don’t have clean hands either. But right now, this kick the can down the road mentality is on the Dims. And sadly, it’s also on a few Quislings in the GOP.
