House Republicans blocked the release of the Matt Gaetz ethics report

This was orchestrated by House Republicans.
What was orchestrated?

House Republicans suddenly started demanding that something be released that never is released under any other circumstances?

Or do you mean that House Republicans resisted the sudden change of rules that Democrats were trying to orchestrate?

He still has an option to take his seat unless they have scheduled a special election for his seat.

Today, Governor Ron DeSantis issued Executive Order 24‑263, which sets the dates for the Special Election for Florida’s 6th Congressional District, a district that represents Flagler and Putnam Counties, and portions of Lake, Marion, St. Johns, and Volusia Counties. The date for the Special Primary Election will be Tuesday, January 28, 2025, and the Special General Election will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2025.

I realize that. But the TDS crowd is reading a lot more into that than is most likely there. Of course he resigned to make release of the report unnecessary. He was most likely advised by his peers to do so. But that in and of itself is not an admission of committing any crime. There may be some embarrassing information there re himself or others named in the report that he didn't want to have to publicly deal with. But to assume that automatically makes him guilty of any crime is just wrong.

I have even suspected it was all engineered to give Gaetz a graceful out with the understanding that Pam Bondi was the choice for A.G. all along. Who knows? All it know it that since it involves absolutely nothing related to Gaetz government position, what is in that report is none of our business.
I am very pleased that Pam Bondy will be the AG. I was pissed at Gaetz when he engineered removing Speaker McCarthy. That speaker did a great job. Gaetz however really pisses off Democrats and that makes him a hero.

Well I don't know about that. Gaetz has been a serious bulldog in holding Democrats accountable. I think he was not seen as any kind of darling by them. But I agree, his tactics in forcing McCarthy out of the Speakers position was highly questionable ethically. And did the Republicans a lot of harm even though I also like Speaker Johnson. It still remains to be seen if Johnson will be as effective as McCarthy in getting difficult legislation passed though. So far so good.

It's strictly a personal thing with me re Gaetz though. While I do believe he has most likely been unjustly accused instigated by corrupt lawfare tactics, I otherwise just have a difficult time liking him much. Something about him bothers me. Which should not be construed that I think there is any evidence whatsoever re the allegations being launched against him by a malicious media and people on message boards.

No you didn't. You pay for Congress to do its job which they did. That doesn't include unjustly dragging people through public mud just to satisfy your prurient curiosity.

So I'll rephrase. Why are you so intrested in that report? Why do you care what is in it. What is Gaetz to you?

I have answered this 7-8 times................

You are really straining at gnats here. I will stand by my previous answers to your incessant questions, will maintain you still haven't answered the question I have asked, and note that you seem incapable of reading and comprehending what is said. Do have a pleasant afternoon.

(P.S. A good remedial reading comprehension course might help.)

Your initial post on this was 100% B.S.

I'm sure you believe that. So since you won't answer my question with anything other than 'you paid for it' which is 100% B.S., I'll wish you a pleasant afternoon and move on.

I disagree. Go back and look. I supported Gaetz in what he did. McCarthy made certain promises to get support and then went back on those promises. He should have been tossed over that. Yes, that is common in D.C. but I never felt a bit bad for McCarthy.

Gaetz isn't even about Gaetz to me. It's about getting them to all start throwing each other under the bus.

I answered your questions. You completely avoided mine.

No. We did not. The law requires us to report any improper conduct with a student and then the law takes over to determine if charges are warranted. The school board itself has no authority to prosecute criminals.

So why are you so eager to see what the report on Gaetz says? What is he to you?
he wants to beat off to it.

No need to release the report. If he HAD done something wrong, it would have come out.
Hence, the reason for releasing the report. If he had done nothing wrong, he’s exonerated in the report and there is no longer any speculation. The only reason to bury it is because that’s not the case.
Create the optical perception of guilt.
Exactly what they did by not releasing it. You just contradicted yourself in the same statement.

No release, he quits so it doesn't get released. Guilty in most peoples minds. (outside of hard core MAGA)

You're still missing the real story.

The FBI has been paying for psych counseling for the two women for YEARS.

Why would they do that?

Exactly. The guy has been credibly accused of sleeping with underage girls and they have no problem burying it because he's a member of their MAGA cult, but they'll keep calling the president "Pedo Joe."
