House Republicans blocked the release of the Matt Gaetz ethics report

No. We did not. The law requires us to report any improper conduct with a student and then the law takes over to determine if charges are warranted. The school board itself has no authority to prosecute criminals.

So why are you so eager to see what the report on Gaetz says? What is he to you?

A Trump ally

Never really had an opinion on Gaetz......was shaking the trees alot in Congress. Lots of enemies. Had a lot to say about things, especially in hearings. When he helped orchestrate overthrow of the speaker and the chaos that ensued, I to pretty much lost what little respect I had of him. When he was nominated for AG, my first thought was good luck with that.

As far as this BS over getting dirt on him...... FBI didn't find anything that's fine with me.

He is a weird looking dude beyond that.

He quit because he had been nominated A.G. and to make it unnecessary to release the report .

yes, so the report didn't get released. People who are simply nominated don't resign until confirmation.

And now any government appointment is also off the table. I don't know what is in that report nor do you. And not wanting it plastered all over the media could have absolutely nothing to do with committing any crime.

So why do you want to see the report. What is Gaetz to you?

I paid for it. I already noted also, I hope it would get the ball rolling to everything getting reported just like MTG threatened.

I would be fine with that as a general principal, an ongoing rule.

I’m not fine with suddenly invoking the “should be“ doctrine when it is one particular congressman who is hated by Trump deranged Democrats

This was orchestrated by House Republicans.

Why do this? If Gaetz has done nothing wrong, one would think he'd have wanted this report released a couple of weeks ago to put everything to rest, but he didn't and ultimately had to withdraw himself from the AG nomination because he didn't have the votes to pass Senate confirmation.

Party of family values.
Think Biden and his crime family.

So they were fired but nothing improper happened? And I never said the school board should prosecute them but you know that but felt this incredible need to misrepresent what I said because you can't actually defend what you said.

I've answered this 5-6 times already.

If there is a genuine crime, Gaetz has not escaped the long reach of the law.

No you didn't. You pay for Congress to do its job which they did. That doesn't include unjustly dragging people through public mud just to satisfy your prurient curiosity.

So I'll rephrase. Why are you so intrested in that report? Why do you care what is in it. What is Gaetz to you?

You are really straining at gnats here. I will stand by my previous answers to your incessant questions, will maintain you still haven't answered the question I have asked, and note that you seem incapable of reading and comprehending what is said. Do have a pleasant afternoon.

(P.S. A good remedial reading comprehension course might help.)

Gaetz didn't have to quit the 118th congress. He only had to quit the 119th congress once he got confirmed.

So his quitting was more about the report they were about to release, than about the position he was nominated for.

Actually the FBI found no federal crimes they could prove beyond a reasonable doubt.
There may have been a ton of state crimes Gaetz violated, but they only investigate federal crimes. And state crimes only if invited by local law enforcement.

Limited investigative jurisdiction
The FBI can investigate state law violations in the following circumstances:
Felony killings of state law enforcement officers
Violent crimes against interstate travelers
Serial killers

Requests for assistance
The FBI can be called in to assist with state criminal cases when state or local law enforcement agencies lack the resources to investigate. The FBI can provide specialized resources like advanced forensics, electronic surveillance, and intelligence databases.

I realize that. But the TDS crowd is reading a lot more into that than is most likely there. Of course he resigned to make release of the report unnecessary. He was most likely advised by his peers to do so. But that in and of itself is not an admission of committing any crime. There may be some embarrassing information there re himself or others named in the report that he didn't want to have to publicly deal with. But to assume that automatically makes him guilty of any crime is just wrong.

I have even suspected it was all engineered to give Gaetz a graceful out with the understanding that Pam Bondi was the choice for A.G. all along. Who knows? All it know it that since it involves absolutely nothing related to Gaetz government position, what is in that report is none of our business.

In the course of investigation of federal crimes they find multiple state law violations, they just toss it in the can or notify state authorities for an investigation?
