House grinds to a halt as GOP tries to shut down Epstein votes

You don't take them home and stash them in your garage on accident.
Sure you do. You pack shit and lose track of what is what. As is shown by the fact that he volunteered that he had them when he and Pence searched despite not being prompted. And as is shown by inviting the DOJ to do they're own search when they did. No denying, no equivocation, no hiding.

For the sake of argument let's go with that. You are arguing that was Biden did with classified information wasn't illegal just irresponsible.

Yes. Just like I said during Hilary Clinton's scandal. Where I said that Comey was right to reopen the investigation when he found there were more emails out there, although I was perfectly aware it would hurt her election chances, in fact it was what probably sunk her. I didn't care then and I don't care now despite the consequences. Namely Trump being elected.

If you mess with classified document the consequences should be yours. Be it professional or legal.

But I also respect the legal process and what is required for something to be crime. What Trump did reached that threshold. What Biden and Pence did didn't.

So in the end neither Trump or Biden had (has) what it takes to be president. That has been my argument all along.

Why is Trump covering for them now?
Probably for the same reasons the entire establishment covered for them during the Obama and Biden regimes. Politics is a very dirty game played by very dirty people associated with very rich and powerful dirty people. These people run the show, and you and I are just spectators who don't even know 1% of what really happens behind closed doors in DC and on Epstein Island. And Epstein was one of many pedophilia rings in the US, Europe and many other parts of the world. We may want those rings obliterated but the rich and powerful don't. They run this show and we can't do anything about it except waste time discussing it on a relatively obscure forum on the Internet.

So in the end Trump is no different than Obama or Biden. I think that realization is what has MAGA so upset.

Suckers.

You sound scared that the man you worship is a pedophile.

I can't blame you...nothing in Trump's past points in the other direction.

Then we’re in agreement. Though I’d add, not to split hairs, that Biden hasn’t been convicted of a crime, while Trump has. That does matter to me. And I'm kinda baffled that it doesn't to so many and that you state there is no difference.

That neither has what it takes to be president seemed to elude millions.

Trump was one of the many rich and powerful dirty people that influenced politics and then became a rich and powerful dirty politician, just like every politician on both sides of the aisle today. I can easily admit it. Is he better or worse than Biden? Pelosi? Schumer? They are all disgusting, vile people. I still think Trump's policies are better for America, even if he isn't the perfect person to implement them. But there are no other better alternatives. On the brighter side, what Trump is doing is highlighting just how bad the federal government has become and people are waking up to this. Sooner or later the people are going to learn that there really aren't two sides in the government, there is just one government and it doesn't work for the people. It works for the rich and powerful. The big unanswered question is: But can the people really do anything about it? I don't think so.

There are always alternatives.

If that's ever going to change maybe it would be good to make choices based on more than partisanship then. Hold politicians to some standards. Not being a convicted criminal for instance would be a start.

Neither side wants standards. All they care about is winning.

I care about standards and I'm on a side. But since I have standards I don't feel the need to reflexivly defend them.

There are always alternatives.
Let's go back in time. The second term of Clinton was a turning point and the extended political establishment, the rich and powerful, gained a lot of control because a lot of democrats became pro-establishment. The came Bush Jr. who had to give the establishment everything it wanted or watch the GOP lose influence among the rich and powerful. Obama was elected as the alternative to all that mess. How did that go? At the end of his second term in an interview he admitted "You can't change DC from the inside." Then came Trump as an alternative. A complete political outsider. The establishment destroyed him. Biden was just pure pro-establishment and didn't even run the WH. Then came Trump again as the alternative to the pro-establishment democrats. There are no alternatives that can do anything about the federal government. It is too big and the people have lost control of it to the rich and powerful. Ask yourself one question: Does your favorite politician care more about you or the lobbyists and Big Donors showering him/her with tons of money? At this point is all just political theatre to keep you distracted from the truth about the federal government.

My current favorite politician would be Vermin Supreme and I would say he cares more about me.

I highly doubt Trump is a creep. Some may use some arbitrary sentence in a file to TRY and paint him as a creep, but I doubt he is a creep and there is a chasm of difference there.
He cheated on his pregnant wife and joked about grabbing women by their pussies on video.

Doesn’t make him a pedophile, but of course he’s a creep

Why on earth would you “doubt” it?

A creep is someone going after the young. Groomers for instance, as we have in police forces in Canada. He partied and took advantage of his position of fortune and fame that attracted so many women, he didn't pursue the young. We have some in Canada pushing to have the voting age dropped to 16, now THAT to me is creepy behaviour. No wonder America is wisely demanding terms to engage in trade. Too many of you refuse to understand that we do not share your values.
