Only one president, Andrew Jackson, was ever censured. Censuring President Trump will ensure that he at least goes down in history as being as great as Old Hickory.
Not hardly, Mr. Galt. Andrew Jackson, was not only a great two term Democratic President, who reduced the Federal Debt by about 99.9%. He served in both houses of Congress Representing Tennessee. He was A General in the United States Army. Apparently he did not develop "bone Spurs" to avoid serving and defending his country. He was a Volunteer from The Great State of Tennessee. We've been known to do that a lot. He vetoed renewal of the Bank Of The United States, and fought against the bank, (it was supported by Clay's Whig party) because he thought it had too many foreign investors, favored rich over poor and it resisted lending funds to support commercial interests if America's Western territories (

Censured in first term, yet still he stayed to complete 2 terms, balancing the budget, paying off the national debt and truly representing the common man. He certainly never subverted official foreign policy for his personal political goals. You should drop by our state capitol, visit The Hermitage and pay your respects to this fine gentleman, statesman, Army General and patriot.
