The most likely scenario is that democrats regain the House, not in a blue wave but by a sliver of votes. The House is the one that impeaches while the Senate does the trial and the bar is very high to remove a president from office. The Founders made that bar very high on purpose in order to discourage partisan impeaches.

That didn't stop the democratic House for Trump's first two impeachments and it won't stop a democrat House again for the third time. We are truly looking at history here as by the time our sun goes supernova and kills us all, Trump will remain the only president in US history to be impeached 3 times and not removed from office any of those 3 times. What will be remembered will not be that Trump was impeached 3 times but the fact of how uberpartisan democrats have been during this time period and the extent of lawfare they have used against Trump.
