My understanding is it is a spectrum, that probably includes a number of different disorders from mildly effected to badly effected, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they are innately more violent than anyone else.

Thank you. The reason why I ask is because I work with someone who is autistic and while she is hard working and well-meaning, because of her mind being the way that it is, she could very well end up being more trouble than she is worth. Any accident that might take place because of her won't be intentional, but it will still be an accident that could end up with severe consequences anyway. It's just a matter of when and how bad with her.

I think you didn't read my post. I don't support transgender surgeries. I don't believe that there is such a condition. I do believe that the mind plays tricks with those with ADHD and OCD compulsions. I agree that autistic children and adults are susceptible to this brainwashing.

I don't believe the majority of children labeled as autistic today really are.

Autistic is today's version of add.

It's just the new fad to explain away letting your kids be raised by tv or internet and letting them be so over stimulated that they can't function without noises and flashes in their face, poor diet so they are either sluggish or hyper active, and a lack of parenting where you set rules and boundaries for the kids and hold them accountable.

When add was the big fad everyone loved to tell others about their add kid. Now people are almost proud to talk about their autistic child on social media, bumper stickers, casually bring it up in conversation. It's kind of strange at how many parents use the word as a way to turn a conversation so it's about them.

And as we all know, the mental state of human beings can and will go bad at times.

The whole transitioning the body is to try and make the body comply and match with what has gone wrong with them mentally because physically, there is nothing wrong with them.

Then society must declare them "normal" and celebrate their dysfunctional mental state so they don't try and kill themselves as the champion them mutilating their body that is perfectly fine.

According to data, it is extremely rare for surgery to be done on minors. Most medical centers and doctors don’t. In my state, they couldn’t come up with a single case. Personally I agree with limiting surgery until 18.

Also according to what data is currently available, very few regret their choice.

Individual cases can be tragic, and (like with any disease) can be unethical, but is that a reason to ban a treatment (social transitioning, puberty blockers, hormones for youth, surgery for adults) that appears to improve their mental health and reduce suicide risk more than anything else on the table at this point?

I find that hard to believe and would like to see some actual data to support it. The numbers are too small and many transgender adults are too poor.

I haven’t seen the government promote surgery. In terms of paying for it, it is no different than any other treatments covered under insurance or Medicare.

Actually...how do you know what it does or doesn't do? It might not be curative, but in the limited data we have so far it improves their quality of life and suicide risk. As far as I can find, no other treatment has been that effective to date.

I already pointed out surgery on minors is extremely rare and surgery on prepubescent children is NOT done. IMO it shouldn't be.

When children can't consent, it is up to the parents and their doctors to do what they think is right. Parental rights.
