Hormuz Closed Again After Trump Double-Crosses on Port Blockade, Breaks Ceasefire Terms

They break the rules and then want to dictate what will be done about it,

The mine-sweeping ships will have to be escorted. They have limited defense capability of their own. You have no idea how difficult this is going to be. The U.S. Navy is not prepared for this.

our military is one of the most resourceful. So far the problem you are presenting is threoretical... we shall see.

Not quickly...as the article painfully points out.

The problem is many people like yourself are even in government and they are riddiculously short on what we call patience. Even short periods of time seem like eternity to them. even a 60 day time period.

even when it appears like nothing is happening, you can rest assured that our intelligence is still working around the clock probing for weaknesses inside and out..and ways to exploit them.

Sadly though in this conflict most Democrats in office dont really prefer a sound victory here.

There will never be peace as long as Trump is president. Iran will soon tire of trying to negotiate with a pathological liar.

"Iran’s military announced Saturday that it was closing the Strait of Hormuz, citing a continued American blockade, leaving the status of access to a vital waterway unclear a day after President Donald Trump and the country declared it open. A tanker attempting to cross the strait also was reported to have come under fire from Iranian forces, underscoring the fragility of the ceasefire amid diplomatic efforts to end the war....

he U.S. will continue its naval blockade of Iranian ports until there is a peace deal with Iran, Trump said. But on Saturday, Iran accused the U.S. of “banditry and piracy under the guise of a so-called blockade.”

“Until the United States ends its interference with the full freedom of movement for vessels traveling to and from Iran, the status of the Strait of Hormuz will remain under intense control and in its previous state,” said the statement published on Iran’s semiofficial Fars media outlet."
This one didn’t age well…..

The mines can be swept, even the British will be helping.

Oh Really. Hmmm

Well shit. When we did it in the 80s we must have been lucky huh?

Iran had a pretty Navy back then too. Made nice Reefs
We already put two ships through the minefield.

She's smoking pot and trying to figure out how to lose 200 lbs.

Maybe she thinks screaming will do it.

We have learned not to trust intelligence services that told us Iraq had WMDs, Hunter's laptop was fake Russian disinformation, and Russia conspired with Trump to steal the 2016 election from Hillary.
Your perspective is warped by Trumpery. (E.g., U.S. intelligence never reported that the Russian interference in the 2016 election was coordinated with the Trump campaign) but there has been nothing to contradict the consistent findings that Iran was an imminent threat because of advances in its nuclear weapons program.

As with Cheney's and Rumsfeld's "wmd stockpiles," it was a lie to justify military aggression.

Congress did not vote to go to war with Iraq because of Bush, but because Hillary convinced the body that Iraq had WMDs. Brennan's Jan 2017 intelligence report was a lie that Obama had ordered to be crafted. That sort of sedition borders on treason.

Lefties hoping war continues and people die.

Sick MFers.

Your hyper-partisan distortion of reality is taken for what it is worth.

Even far left NPR had to admit that Hillary contributed to Congress' decision to declare war on Iraq in 2002.

Read New York Sen. Hillary Clinton's 2002 Senate Speech to authorize the war in Iraq.
As a U.S. senator, arguably the most important vote that Hillary Clinton (D-NY) cast was whether the nation should go to war with Iraq.
Her 2002 vote to support President Bush's decision to authorize the war has dogged her ever since, but that fall, the drumbeat of war could not have been louder.
That year on Capitol Hill, lawmakers faced the grave

Not if they keep attacking ships in the strait.

Iran has already committed tons of war crimes by attacking shipping that is not military.

It's a threat against the economy of other nations.

BOOM!!!
Oooooops......

Seems a ship tried to run the blockade. Didn't end well for them.

This week will be interesting.
