Chinese-owned vessel passes through Strait of Hormuz amid US blockade on Iranian ports

China is rising rapidly....but so is Japan.
We should have taken the handcuffs off of Japan 20 years ago...
Perhaps you don't remember when they were (Japan) trying to take us over financially.

The U.S. blockade only applies to vessels traveling to or from Iranian ports, and the Rich Starry was transiting the strait from the United Arab Emirates and was therefore allowed to pass.

You omitted the key fact

The blockade applies only to Iranian oil
Jeez.

Leave it to Dems and "not Dems" to get all wee-wee'd up over nothing.

Well, that did not last long. This is not going to end well for Americas global inflience if they cannot project power. If China and Iran can maintain trade then Trump might as well just remove the blockade as it would just send a message to the world that China is the big dog.

Is China, the nation that Trump was supposed to reign in, going to be stronger after Trumps two terms? US enforces naval blockade on Iran as nuclear issue takes center stage
The Chinese-owned oil and chemical tanker Rich Starry successfully transited the Strait of Hormuz on Tuesday despite a U.S. blockade,
The Rich Starry was the first vessel to cross the strait since the U.S. imposed its blockade on Monday. The ship was initially turned back on Monday but was successful on its second attempt to cross.

The blockade is on ships from Iranian ports.

That Chinese flagged ship did not come from an Iranian port.

Actually it is a Malawi flagged ship owned by a Chinese company and and there are no credible reports it was carrying oil or coming from an Iranian port.
It is a ship specifically sanctioned, by name, by the US for carrying Russian oil to China.

It loaded up in UAE., I guess.

15th post
I have seen no reports the ship came from an Iranian port of paid any toll to Iran.
Right, apparently it loaded up in UAE.
Toll? Iran says it is charging tolls and the IS says they are going to stop such vessels. Did the US report that no toll was paid?
