Holocaust denier given suspended sentence

Academic scholars have been free for decades to discuss historical events such as 'The fall of Rome' or 'Custer's Last Stand' and write books and debate everything that allegedly took place.

But if a scholar says or writes anything that deviates from the 'official' Holocaust story. Their career will be over and their university position will be stripped away. Plus they could be arrested and even sent to prison in several European countries.

Once again, what are the authorities trying to hide when it comes to the so called Holocaust? ...
Holocaust denial is wickedness. It happened so why deny it ? Unless you are planning another one.

You do realize that like the Holocaust was real, Rome did fall and Custer did have a last stand, right?

Why are Holocaust Denial laws on the books?

The world spent seven years trying to eradicate Nazism off the face of the Earth. After the fall of Nazi Germany people in Europe, in both Allied and Axis countries, still found Nazism a seductive ideology. The efficiency of the state, the rapid rise of industrial might, many things about it appealed to certain people who wished it to come back in a different form.

The one thing one which most everyone could agree was that the Holocaust and the systematic extermination of millions of innocent civilians was something for which the Nazis could never be forgiven and which taints the ideology forever.

Those who seek a return to Nazism feel that if the stigma of the Holocaust can be removed, or at least downplayed simply into collateral damages of the war against it, then people would be more receptive to the Nazi ideology in general.

But, the fact is, Nazism is inextricably linked to the Holocaust, the stigma of which can never be removed from the tenants of National Socialism no matter how desperately some people try to separate the two.

Those who seek to prevent the reemergence of Nazism know this and have made it illegal to deceitfully re-write History to cleanse the record of the Nazis.

I agree that there was an event during WWll where the Jews, Gypsies, Homos, and other undesirables were rounded up and detained in work camps for their own safety. And yes, many died from over work, disease, and towards the end of the war, starvation.

But personally, I have doubts about certain aspects of the 'official' Holocaust narrative, and feel they should be debated and discussed openly, and without fear of arrest or going to prison. ....

Because much like wickedness; the Devil is in the details...

Here is the detail.

/----/ Yes. Communism.

SOrry, man, take your Bircher Propaganda somewhere else...

Yes, if you blame "Communism" for wars and famines, I guess you can maybe get to that number with the new math...

The irony is that the Leftist have allied themselves with the Jihadist who want erase Jews from the earth

Naw, they just want them to go back to Europe where they came from.

I'm just not sure why we've decided it was in our best interests to prop them up in Palestine and get 1/4 of the world's population pissed at us.

I agree that low level intelligence should not lead to jail time. That's just fascism rearing its ugly head again. By the way, maybe you should find a local library and see if there are any history books dealing with the 20th century. Might be helpful for you.

Personally, I believe the Holocaust narrative has devolved into a huge Ponzi scheme. And is used today to extort money from western governments by making them feel guilty over questionable details of the event. ...

Leftists come from Europe?

That actually makes sense.

Let me know when you grow up and want to participate in a conversation, okay?

Personally, I believe the alleged Holocaust even has devolved into a huge Ponzi scheme. And is used today to extort money from western governments by making them feel guilty over dubious details of the event.

Um, no, the Holocaust was a thing that really happened, just ask the WWII vets like my dad who liberated concentration camps.

I know of no other historical event; for which so many modern folks are conditioned, to so passionately defend the account of, to the point that questioning even the details ; promotes such anger, and even violence; than the purported German Holocaust of the Jews....

There is no need to be rude during a civil discussion.

And yes, I have an extensive library which has many books dealing with events that took place during the 20th century.

But thanks for your concern. ...

Not being rude. Trying to be helpful. Also, if your library is so extensive, maybe find books dealing with this topic and read them. See? More help. I'm all about helping others.

Nothing to jail someone over. There are plenty of anti Christian people, some on this forum, should they be jailed?
