And as to the nature of the problem in Britain...
London overtaken as gun crime capital of England and Wales
And when you actually read the article....
Across England and Wales there has been a five per cent drop in gun crime in the past 12 months and the figures have nearly halved in the West Midlands since 2007/08 when there were 974 incidents.
Senior officers described the latest overall statistics as encouraging and showed that firearms are used in a very small proportion of total police recorded crime of 0.2 per cent.
If only they could be more like Tampa and its surge in gun deaths....with a rate double the previous year.
And of course you wouldn't know that the police in Britain have been hiding crime stats.......quite the scandal over there.....
If you have evidence that gun crime stats are higher in Britian, by all means provide it.
And then explain why Britain would want to be more like Tampa.....with its 'shall issue' concealed carry laws and surging gun violence rates.
here you go..
Police funding cuts blamed for rise in gun and violent crime
Labour MP Steve McCabe (Lab Selly Oak) spoke out after it emerged West Midlands Policeare dealing with more than ten gun crimes every week.
It means the West Midlands is the gun crime capital of England and Wales - for the second year running.
Official figures show the force dealt with 562 firearms offences last year.
This was up from 540 the year before.
Funny...for a country that confiscated guns and has extreme gun control for the hunting shot guns that remain....sure have a lot of gun trouble........
And where they did confiscate guns but instead expanded the authority to carry them........you not only see far more gun violence, you see a sudden surge in gun deaths:
Chief pleads for help as gun violence in Tampa surges
Chief Jane Castor highlighted the alarming surge in gun violence at a Monday news conference, calling particular attention to the youth of some of the victims, and pleading for the public's help.
"What we need is for the community to get angry about what is happening in our back yard," Castor said. "Our kids are being killed, and we've got to stop this."
If only the UK could be more like Tampa. Instead of seeing gun incidents cut by half over the years as happened in parts of the UK, they can see a surge in gun deaths too!
Sorry...after they confiscated guns there was a spike in gun crime......after the spike the level of gun crime went back to where it was before...so there was no cutting in half of gun crime in Britain...it just went back to where it was before...so after confiscating guns...they recieved no benefit from it....
