Two arrested in parking lot shooting

Two men were arrested overnight in connection with the city's first shooting of the year.

Police found a man with a single gunshot wound in the parking lot at 1165 Oxford St. E., just west of Highbury Avenue, about 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

The unidentified man was treated at hospital for non life-threatening injuries and discharged.

This isn’t the first time the east-end plaza — also housing a martial arts studio, Tim Hortons and a Goodwill — has been the scene of violence. On April 18, 2010, a man was seriously injured in a shooting in the parking lot. On Sept. 25, 2005, Joshua Williams, 22, was killed and another man was injured in a shooting outside the Roxbury.

Dwayne Pitter, a drug dealer from Vaughn, was convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to 11 years in prison.

See....they confiscated guns in Britain....so their criminals can't get them...right? But oh....yes they can...whenever they want or need them.....it is just normal British people...the ones not shooting each other in bars who can't get the guns.....and who are now the victims of crime in a country at least twice as violent as the United States....

As Larry Correia put it....Britain traded in their guns in the hope of stopping mass shootings that were extremely rare...before they confiscated their guns......and what they got in return was daily violent crime that even we don't have....stabbings, beatings and murders.....

And oh yeah...their gun crime rate...is the same as it was before they confiscated their guns....they achieved nothing but making more victims of violent crime....

Nope....Japan has few shootings each year because they have very little crime at all....since their culture does not support criminal activity the way ours does...I have posted the stories...the people are law abiding and use collective guilt to keep their people in line....and the Yakuza bosses are more interested in making money than having their people murder each other...

Concealed carry is going to stop the crime of those carrying the gun....but when the democrats attack the police and create the now documented "Ferguson Effect," where police in cities around the country...in Chicago, New York, Milwaukee, and even Tampa.....have backed off doing their jobs...then the criminals will get away with carrying their illegal guns.......

After all...it is already illegal for convicted criminals to own and carry guns..right? And that is not stopping these criminals...because the police aren't trying to stop them anymore..........so your gun control laws will not work...when the police decide to stop working.....
