I'm not wrong if Cain is leading the republican party and polls are showing him beating Obama. It appears people like to hear this.

How about raising the largest tax rate from 36% to 39%, lowering Capital Gains to a flat 10% and NO national sales tax to spur on consumer spending? How about closing loopholes so the largest corporations can no longer shelter taxable profits overseas or in a shadow subsidiary that turns out to be a Bermudan Post Office box?
How about mortgage, tuition, child care and elderly parent care deductions? How about a deduction for health care premiums?
Herman Cain's plan kills consumer spending, coddles the richest Americans and cripples the discretionary spending of every middle class and impoverished American.

Herman Cain ^ | 10-16-11 | Josh Feldman
On Meet the Press today, Herman Cain explained to David Gregory why he believes that liberals in the United States are invested in seeing the country fail and would do anything to see its destruction.
Cain argued that if the economic situation was to get any worse, “it would destroy our economic capability,” and from that the United States would have to look at making cuts in defense spending, which Cain seemed to imply were not on the table for him. Gregory asked the candidate to clarify if he truly meant liberals would be implicit in the destruction of America, rather than just pure mismanagement. Cain continue to stick by his comments, saying, “They do not believe in a stronger America, in my opinion.”

God it's hard for me not to respect Herman Cain. This is coming from someone like me to...The guy is pretty intelligent and is earning it.
Question: Why do so many conservative GOP presidential hopefuls (Bachmann, Cain, Santorum, Paul, Perry, and sometimes Gingrich) say such crazy things on a regular basis?
Answer: Because they're pandering to the lunatic fringe which is now the GOP base.
Let's take this as an example. There are plenty of rich liberals in this country. They (and even the not-so-rich liberals in the middle class) have no desire to destroy the very economy that provides them with their jobs, and careers, and is the very reason that they're able to pay their bills and put a roof over their heads and feed their families.
You have a picture of a marxist/Leninist and you think your not extreme?

If anyone really doubts it just read the signs being held up by these bigots occupying Wall Street. These people are pretty open about advocating the downfall of our entire system and want to see it replaced with a known historically failure of one they stupidly believe will surely work if given one more chance.
They are anti-American, anti-capitalist, anti-free market, anti-individualism, anti-Semitics who see one group of fellow Americans after another as their enemy -and want what others have but without having to do any of the work to get it. Squatting and shitting in public, abandoning any pretense at hygiene and inducing strong gag reflexes in others is their idea of accomplishment.
When you know what the outcome of certain actions/in-actions are likely to be and you see people refuse to step off the path you know leads to doom -then one could reasonably conclude that person is in fact seeking that doom.
