Zone1 Hello from London, UK.

Oh we have a Beagle too called Evie. 11 years old, weas my daughter's. Nice family dogs but have a voracious appetite and need a lot of exercise.

Fucking hell.

Just another one to add to the pile.

Boris was one of the worst (not the worst, Lizz Truss for all her sins was an absolute fucking joke) PMs in living history.
Best PM ever in my opinion. Funny, doesn't take himself too seriously, spoke sense, bit like Trump. The Tories should never have ditched him. He got them an 80 odd seat majority in 2019 sand they crapped all over him.
Truss was totally useless though.

Rishi wanted his job, and threw him under the bus.

And what a karma he got for that

Truss had the right idea.

How can he be the best PM?

What did he do that even puts him as the best PM in that election cycle?

He dealt with Brexit badly (from the perspective of those not taking huge amounts of government money to do nothing), he dealt with Brexit even worse. He opposed May's Brexit deal, (so he could undermine her) and then put his own one in place that was (especially for the pro-Protestant Northern Irish) and absolute fuckjob if ever there was one, literally making a border between Northern Ireland and the rest of the country.

He had so many scandals and didn't give a damn about them, as if they weren't important, and every time he survived one, he seemed to get more emboldened, and then one took him down after only three years.
He tried to suspend parliament so he could ignore them, the Supreme Court told him he was an idiot for doing it.

Like Trump, he undermined British democracy.

"On these and numerous other occasions, Johnson not only undermined what the historian Peter Hennessy has described as the “good chap theory” of British politics—which rests on the belief that politicians can be trusted to abide by a shared understanding of what constitutes good behavior—but modeled how future prime ministers could do the same. "

He literally went out there and broke the rules that exist for a very good reason, the stability of the country. Even Sunak who was from the north (Southampton is in the north) which is foreign parts, was able to understand these rules.

I've gone looking for something he did well, and I can't find anything. He wasn't the worst PM of his election cycle, but he wasn't the best either, and he wasn't the worst because Truss was an absolute idiot.

Sorry that I'm late to the party but welcome. Crazy people unite!! :D

My wife thinks I`m crazy because I like Mr. Bean. God bless the Brits for giving the world John, Paul, George and Ringo. John`s mistake was moving to a country where crazy people are allowed to play with guns.
Too right. What a tragic senseless loss to music. Hope his killer dies in jail. He'd be a marked man if he ever came out,

Hi Chris here. Really interested in the US election. Can't call it myself now but love Trump. Would quite like to see a female President in my lifetime though.

Married 32 years to a Filipino lady. Had a daughter but she passed away suddenly aged 22 six years ago. Interests are nice food, especially fish and seafood, music, politics and keep tropical fish.
Welcome Chris. Hope you find a satisfying experience at USMB. Lots of really good people here. Just have fresh batteries in your bullsh*t detector and don't let the numbnuts and trolls bother you. They are everywhere it seems. Helps to read the guidelines and then keep right on joining in. You'll be part of the really dysfunctional family here in no time. :)
