Hegseth started his press conference with a roundhouse attack on the American press for reporting the news instead of proclaiming victory and chest beating.

It was juvenile, petty and unprofessional.

In a free society questions can, and should be asked.

Particularly in the face of an Administration the lies, blusters, tries to intimidate and demands unquestioned devotion.

The press can ask but the press shouldn't be surprised at the accusation of publishing fake news. Remember what happened to those asking questions about Biden's cognitive decline? They were labeled as spreading misinformation.
