In a Republic, actually
ā€˜Trump reportedly adopted a strategy of intentionally acting unstable and insulting towards Iran, in the hopes that it would push the U.S. adversary to negotiate an end to the war.

The unorthodox tactics were reportedly behind a string of controversial posts the president made this month about the vital Strait of Hormuz, administration officials told The Wall Street Journal.

In one post, on April 5, the president ordered Iran to ā€œopen the F*in’ Strait, you crazy b*****, or you’ll be living in Hell,ā€ and ended the post with ā€œPraise be to Allah.ā€. In another message, this one on April 7, the president threatened that a ā€œwhole civilization will die tonightā€ unless Iran agreed to open the strait.

A two-week ceasefire was announced that night, less than 90 minutes before Trump’s deadline. Still, the comments alarmed critics from both parties, with members of Congress and faith leaders reportedly contacting the White House to inquire about the president’s striking comments, according to the Wall Street Journal.’

This is a lie, of course, contrived by a Trump aide.

Trump is and has always been unstable and insulting; there is no ā€˜strategy.’

It’s further proof that Trump is unfit to hold any public office.

I do believe this to some degree. The problem is that China, Russia and Iran suspected the same I am sure. If they actually believed him, would Iran had sent out a message basically telling Trump l to go ahead , "we are ready"?

It was probably a hybrid situation.

This is how he addresses everything. He equates name calling with diplomacy.
Nah. Democrats will use any situation as an opportunity to trash Trump.

Every year it gets worse.

Democrats are the party of assassins.

Character and real.

I doubt that Trump’s instability and insulting behavior is anything more thaN Trump’s typical dishonesty, instability and insulting behavior.

It has been his standard pattern throughout his entire career.

Thank you. This is not surprising. I don't really know much about the OODA Loop, but we have used similar models in medicine. Makes for interesting reading.

The strategy isn't to negotiate a deal, that's just the line to feed the media stooges. The goal is to eliminate this regime in Iran forever. Stooge.
