Healthcare winners and losers?

Obviously with the passage of the healtchare bill the biggest winners are deadbeats, the indigent and illegal aliens.

But apart from that, who are the biggest beneficiaries in this giant leap toward socialism and who suffers the greatest cost?

The children and grandchildren that will have to try to figure out how to pay the bills.

I found some interesting winners

Guess who is exempt from ObamaCARE? The Senior Staff Who Wrote the Bill! : Fire Andrea Mitchell!

New Ledger discovered this part of the ObamaCARE bill that many might have either overlooked, or just not noticed. Based on the language found in the bill it appears from the way this language is written that those considered “congressional staffers”, such as those working and paid under the committee structure (such as those working for Chairman Henry Waxman) or those working on leadership staff (such as those working for Speaker Nancy Pelosi) would be exempt from ObamaCARE’s requirements!
(ii) DEFINITIONS- In this section:
(I) MEMBER OF CONGRESS- The term `Member of Congress’ means any member of the House of Representatives or the Senate.
(II) CONGRESSIONAL STAFF- The term `congressional staff’ means all full-time and part-time employees employed by the official office of a Member of Congress, whether in Washington, DC or outside of Washington, DC.
According to the Congressional Research Service, this definition of staff will only apply to those staffers employed within a member’s “personal office” — meaning that it will absolutely not apply to committee staff members, and may not apply to leadership staff.

:doubt: not in the bill. no specific congressman mandate.

I get back more than I pay in every year.
You can disagree if you like, but that's the truth.

And I think thats wrong. You shouldn't get back extra on top of what you paid. Thats redistribution of wealth.

Yes it is.
Take it up with the legislators and the left who insist on pushing this crap on us.

this is rich. they're paying me and there's nothing i can do. HELP!!

when you file this year, fill out an EZ and dont claim a kid or two as deductions until you're under-par. take your stupid principles to heart...

or, use your brain and see what might be good about our tax policy and others that are aimed at helping americans and our economy get by.

You moron. They aren't paying us, we're paying them. And it will destroy the economy.

 In your case, we're paying you. And that you feel it is the legislators fault is ridiculous. No one forces you to claim an EITC.:lol::lol::lol::lol:

despite grassley's article, the language in your original post is not in the bill. i couldnt find any which mandates reps to use the system in the bill. for example "member of congress" is not in the bill. 'congressional' is only associated with the CBO and appears only twice. its 2310 pages, and, no, i have not read it, but i dont see that that language survived the revisions to the bill.

can you find it?

Biggest winners?

Health care insurance companies
Pharmaceutical companies
HC providers generally

Biggest losers?

The middle and upper middle class who actually work for a living and pay ALL the bills...same as always

i'm paying them. the last time i even got a return was 1999. you said that you get back more than you put in. where's the 'we' in that mix, allie?

i'm not going to beat you up over the balance in our tax liability. i brought that on myself. how do you justify joining in criticism of the tax system when you voluntarily take advantage of its benefits for persons like yourself?

i dont have a problem with you getting a negative liability. thats for your buddies in the republican party and the right wing of politics. hell, if we were in the same neighborhood, you might be among hundreds of folks who :)eusa_pray:) spend their refunds with me and my services.

where are you coming from with your impression that the economy has been, and will be, destroyed by policy like that?

winners = portch-sitters and the socialist bastards that gain power from distributing wealth.

losers = everybody else.
