Dont Taz Me Bro thinks other people are like him. I supported Trump in 2020, but he's changed and I don't support him now, I support DeSantis. I understand why Trump is bitter having the election stolen from him, but I have a problem with Trump's view it's somehow our job to make up for it. We don't owe Trump the presidency. If he were making the election about defeating Biden I'd still support him.

But Taz still looks at other people and assumes we are all like him. He has his marching orders from the DNC to GET TRUMP, and by God he's getting Trump.

I see his support of the Democrats ending democracy as the threat. It is. Whatever you think of Trump and whatever leftists accuse him of wanting to do, it's Democrats who ARE ending democracy.

But regardless, it's my opinion that somewhere in the not so distant past, the left began funding and infiltrating the GOP with dem-lites. (Liberal Republicans, RINO's etc etc)
They'll take someone who's easily bought and paid for (in it for the money). Fund them, promote them and get them elected. And all they have to do is play a part. People like all of my states congressmen and senators. Republicans who will vote for debt ceiling increases, funding for places like Ukraine. Gender studies in Pakistan etc etc etc
Take Trump for example (I seen you rolling your eyes).... Where else in our history of this country, would republicans support ANY republican who spent as much as he did. Support as much unconstitutional BS as he has and invoke as much liberty smashing legislation as he has?
Would any one have supported Trump if he said he was going ban bump stocks and spend $8 trillion in just 4 years? Or if he said he would sign a bill that forces landlords to not force their tenants to pay rent?
Not in a million years, all the way up to 2020, would we support someone like that. 2024 for some of you.

What GOP politician has been in congress the longest? Certainly not McCarthy. So how did he get into a position to become speaker? His voting record sucks to high heaven. He's left of center on almost all issues. He's caved to Biden. He caved to Pelosi. So did Trump. Trump constantly caved to Pelosi and the establishment.
The left did to the GOP what the big government republicans did to the 07 tea party. And it's a safe bet that the left had already infiltrated the GOP by 2007. Probably by 1980.

You gotta admit that every single time we get a fiscal conservative POTUS candidate, he gets thrown under the bus by his own party.

I agree with you on the spending, but practically every pol in DC is guilty of that regardless of party affiliation.

They also have to appease the very powerful media, who will paint you in an entirely negative light should you dare to venture from what they deem as politically correct. Just look at MTG as an example, she goes against the grain and is smeared at every possible opportunity. Should they stick to their convictions regardless of that, absolutely, but they're only human and want to retain their job, so they do what they must to ensure that. They're basically spineless, and who knows what's being used or held against them to keep them in line, lots of dirt in DC.

As far as Trump, you made claims without any specifics except for bump stocks, which I agree with you on, but the rent moratorium was hardly his doing, it was issued by the CDC, and extended after the election and continued under the Biden admin.

I think you need to give more examples of what you mean by 'unconstitutional BS' and how he 'invoked' 'liberty smashing legislation' and exactly what legislation you're referring to?

Doesn't matter. Trump is still not the president. He didn't drain the swamp. He didn't do 1/2 of what he promised to do. His list of accomplishments are embellished (and repeated). He shoved a LOT of leftist things down our throats.

Had Trump been half the president he claimed he was, there would've been no way Biden could've cheated enough to win.
