Has the GOP been infiltrated by the left?

No it's not. The right would've never, at least not until Reagan, support such a huge expansion of spending, debt ceiling increases, assaulting our 2A, forcing landlords to go without rent payments or allowing big pharma to go unpunished for a bad vaccine.

This kind of crap didn't start until Reagan, a life long democrat (just like Trump).
Parties evolve over time. The Democrat party isn't who they once were either. Besides, it is voters who choose.

I'm thinking the GOP has been infiltrated by the left. Maybe it started in 1980 with Reagan. Maybe a little before that. IDK. But regardless, it's my opinion that somewhere in the not so distant past, the left began funding and infiltrating the GOP with dem-lites. (Liberal Republicans, RINO's etc etc)
They'll take someone who's easily bought and paid for (in it for the money). Fund them, promote them and get them elected. And all they have to do is play a part. People like all of my states congressmen and senators. Republicans who will vote for debt ceiling increases, funding for places like Ukraine. Gender studies in Pakistan etc etc etc

Take Trump for example (I seen you rolling your eyes).... Where else in our history of this country, would republicans support ANY republican who spent as much as he did. Support as much unconstitutional BS as he has and invoke as much liberty smashing legislation as he has?

Would any one have supported Trump if he said he was going ban bump stocks and spend $8 trillion in just 4 years? Or if he said he would sign a bill that forces landlords to not force their tenants to pay rent?

Not in a million years, all the way up to 2020, would we support someone like that. 2024 for some of you.

So I'm thinking the left have secretly infiltrated not only our elections, but infiltrated who's allowed to run.
Oh sure they don't control everyone. They couldn't. They'll let people like Chip Roy, Rand Paul & Mike Lee get elected. But for the most part, they gotta fund their own campaigns.
The narrative must be obeyed an enforced. Zig Hiel!!!!

What GOP politician has been in congress the longest? Certainly not McCarthy. So how did he get into a position to become speaker? His voting record sucks to high heaven. He's left of center on almost all issues. He's caved to Biden. He caved to Pelosi. So did Trump. Trump constantly caved to Pelosi and the establishment.
The left did to the GOP what the big government republicans did to the 07 tea party. And it's a safe bet that the left had already infiltrated the GOP by 2007. Probably by 1980.

You gotta admit that every single time we get a fiscal conservative POTUS candidate, he gets thrown under the bus by his own party.

The Democrat party has never changed. They were the party of slave owners, and they still are. In between, they were the party of Jim Crow, the KKK, lynching. Today they give free passage to sex, slave and drug traffickers to the US. They haven't changed in hundreds of years

Doc7505 , I'm not sure what you're laughing at. Maybe you're not old enough to remember the conservatives calling Reagan a RINO. Back then, most republicans were fiscal and constitutional conservatives. Then Reagan comes along and increases the debt ceiling 17 times. Was the first president to spend more than $1 trillion. Gave us one tax cut and 4 tax increases.
They could've used CINO back then, But RINO meant the same thing. And folks could picture a rhino as an elephant without a trunk. The visuals were better.
Now a days, if you're a Republican your automatically labeled a conservative. Even if there's nothing conservative about you. (IE Trump, McCarthy, McConnell etc etc etc)
~~~~~~
Reagan made it clear that he didn't leave the Democrat Party. The Democrat Party Left him.
You would be wrong. It's been infiltrated by an extreme right wing cult that worships a single man under the guise of defending the Constitution and putting America first.
After the American people got f'ed over by the professional politicians for decades, is it any surprise the people chose Trump? Nope!
It's just incredible how left wingers like Dont Taz Me Bro claim to be against extremism, so they are Democrats. I mean wow, the left has lost their fucking minds. And he probably still believes he's a moderate. The self delusion of the left is sick
Defending the constitution?
The constitution says "shall not infringe." Trump infringed. The left should've praised Trump for that.
The constitution states that the government needs a warrant to spying on Americans. W, Obama and Trump reauthorized FISA 702 that give the government the authority to do just that, only without a warrant.
And don't get me started on the Patriot act that Trump reauthorized.
"The guise of?" Yeah, that's about right.
But it's retarded to think the right has moved even further right.
Because the republicans have been pulled so far to the left it just looks that way. People who believe in the sanctity of life, and a Higher power, family values and understand men can't get pregnant, are now considered fringe by you and yours
Democrats actually do commit and call for violence and you're fine with that. You're for putting Trump in jail though for telling his supporters to "demonstrate peacefully.". Grow up, ass hat
We will root out the Socially Liberal RINO Wing of the GOP in 1 or 2 Congressional Election cycles
Actually, it’s Cult 45 who will be rooted out after you fall flat on your faces again next year. Either way, enjoy being in the minority for the foreseeable future.
You mean when HW tried to assassinate Reagan?
Yet turning over our southern border to Mexican drug cartels isn't "cult." Prosecuting crime victims not criminals isn't "cult." Letting people live, do drugs and shit on our streets isn't "cult." Got it, nut job
