Happy birthday to the greatest actor who ever lived...Marvelous Marlon Brando

even though he mocked acting, he never gave an indifferent performance, my friends!

Brando wanted to feel like, as he said in On The Waterfront, The Contender, someone who fights the good fight, instead of mindlessly basking in the glow of his fame

"i only mean about 40 percent of what i say", Brando once told Truman Capote as far back in 1948.

Marlon did not tell the truth if a lie would suffice. silly lies such as making excuses for missing his acting shift. sometimes he lied to get a rise of people, like i do with you guys, my friends!

On The Waterfront is a gigantic work of art, largely because of Brando's contributions

he was dyslexic and had ADD, yet it never affected his acting

the 1st acting class he took was not out of a love for acting, but as an excuse to live in NY

Years ago, I read where Hollywood people believed him to be lazy. That his performances or body of work could have been much better.
