Thank you for your thoughts. Now, back to my question by what authority higher than the UN do you declare "there's no illegal occupation"? Your own opinion won't do because that has no authority. You've mistakenly claimed that written documents in and of themselves can resolve questions of legality, but that's not true, we have courts, yes we have statutes but we also need an authority to make a decision and interpret all those documents, consider precedents and so on.I'm arguing that people who discuss this topic should have a higher level of knowledge than just googling and repeating soundbytes for which they have no knowledge of the underlying foundations and facts. This lack of information, and sometimes outright misinformation, is contributing to the conflict.
People like this for example
But even better than that, I can accept the opinion of the UN and save lots of time, because no matter what I might find, might infer, might decide it won't matter, it has no relevance. When I ask questions like, "Where does Israel end and where does "Palestine" begin?", you should be curious. You should want to find out. How do emerging States get boundaries, anyway? What do the relevant legal instruments say? Instead, people resort to "everyone knows" which means that there is no application of law, there are only schoolyard popularity contests.
