SUBTOPIC: Combat Strategy and The Insurgency

(COMMENT)
When engaged with the likes of the Jihadist, Fedayeen Activist, Hostile Insurgents, Radicalized Islamic Followers, and Asymmetric Fighters, in any type of resistance movement or insurgency, and guerrilla force → as the forward edge of the battle space moves to confront the opposing force, there must be an understanding of the relationship between the dimensions of air combat, multiple terrain and low intensity conflict, and subterraainian hostile action. The question by "The Gipper" is related to the relationship between the more conventional aspects of the surface terrain and urban conflict → with that of the subterranean unconventional/asymmetric warfare activities. The sustainment and usefulness of subterranean activities is contingent on the steady and continuous support from the surface for Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning/Purification (scrubbing) - water, and power, communications/intelligence; as well as entry and exit portals. Control of the surface and the umbilicals between the surface and subsurface activities will degrade, suppress, and eventually terminate subsurface activities. Such suppression of hostile subterranean activity is absolutely essential to the survivability of surface forces moving forward to make contact with the enemy - and rear area protection.
Most Respectfully,
