Had an MRI and I have bone on me nerve

They say I have encroachment on the nerve from the Lumbar 4 and 5 bones

all I know is IT SUCKS and I am in extreme pain

Do they have any quick surgery that can fix this and get me back to my Wrestling class

I am seeing the orhtopedic doctor early next WEeek

Thanks
Has medcine even advanced to fix Bone on my NERVe.
Stenosis.

I had 2 places in my back where the spinal chord was being squeezed. I put up with if for 3 years until I finally decided to have surgery.
I had a laminectomy where they remove part of a vertebra and a bi-level laminotomy where they actually ream out the inside if the vertebra and enlarge all the holes nerves pass through.

I have been pain free for 8 years

ITs not a career just a hobby. YEs I am mid 40s and old. I know I am old.

The radiology report was not given to me.
They told me its an encroachment on the nerve

I hope I see the real Doctor and not the PA
You are wrestling no matter what

You need to know if physical therapy can lessen your pain to life tolerable

Though back surgery went miles ahead in the last 10 yrs. It is still a knife.

If you can get to a place that is pain livable with stretching and work outs, you want to stay there until surgery is the only option

Btw, tall men tend to have these disc issues statistically more

Will I be able to return to work after this in how long

MRI may be more expensive than testing for Vitamin D polymorphisms. It doesn' hurt to ask.
