Iran seems to have an endless supply of missiles. Apparently they have underground factory complexes and a direct line to parts from China who is willingly supplying them with all the parts they need to continue their standoff.

You have to remember to this regime the suffering of their people is meaningless. There's no way to vote them out so they don't give a shit what the people think.

Having said that it seems apparent that Iran will continue to launch missile strikes until they are physically stopped which will take boots on the ground and represent a huge number of American combat deaths.

This is not going to be pretty.

**** yeah!! And before the American hating nobs show up (you know who you are), this is not going to be WWI, WWII, or even Iraq. The Iran op has particular needs, some of which you need men on the ground for. 2,500 troops does not a ground war make. We are sending in special forces units to be inserted to do a job. We are not deploying tons of support troops and infrastructure like we would do if prepping for a ground assault. If anything, the insertion of these troops suggests that the end is near.

If this is decided, IDF soldiers must be part of such a ground invasion and I would even lobby for other nations in the region be it the Saudis (who usually have foreign born citizens in their military anyways) or others. There must be extensive consequences to China and Russia for assisting Iran and propping up their dictator for such a length of time.

This means China will pay market price for oil if the Iran government is desposed

The attack should not have occurred without full planning and contingencies for different scenarios. It has done great harm to the world economy and Israel has lost many citizens at home due to Iranian missiles.

However, they are a human right violator in a difficult area of the world, they are funding terrorism around the globe, and, they are also weaker now than they would be in ten years.

China is the head of many snakes and the worlds intelligence agencies finally understand this. If Europe want NATO and their alliances to mean something they are going to have to at least step up in Ukraine.

Trumps legacy probably takes a very different turn and MAGA will be replaced by the Neo Cons in the future, Trump will be viewed as a flash in the pan politician who did not keep his promises.

Let us hope for peace, or, a rapid victory if required. I still say this is an operation for CIA.

I'll tell you what's really not pretty: jumping to stupid conclusions based on bad information.

I'm surprised we don't have the technology to trace where the drones and missiles are coming from, and then bomb the crap out of the launching points....

Or once we find launching pads, sit and watch and trace how and where they are being shipped from to the launching pad facilities and blow the factories in to smithereens.

A lot of them are portable launchers that move immediately after they launch.... Otherwise yes they would be sitting ducks

Facts not in evidence. Their rate of fire has dwindled to almost nothing.

True...but it hasn't stopped...
Hopefully your assessment is correct.
Don't need flag draped caskets coming home by the scores.

They have to go somewhere, and we have satellites to track them. They will eventually be found. You underestimate our abilities.

Iran possesses a massive, indigenously produced missile arsenal, with production capabilities estimated at over 100 missiles per month. This high-volume production, coupled with thousands of drones, is designed to overwhelm regional air defenses. Iran's ability to maintain these supplies, despite sanctions, poses a sustained threat to regional stability.

Key Aspects of Iran's Missile Capabilities:
  • Production Volume: Estimates indicate Iran can produce over 100 missiles per month, often outpacing the production of interceptors used by the U.S. and its allies to stop them.
  • Arsenal Size: Iran holds an extensive arsenal of ballistic and cruise missiles developed over decades to compensate for a lack of a modern air force.
  • Range: Iran has claimed to limit its missile range to

  • Proxy Supply: Iran provides missiles and drones to its regional partners, strengthening its regional influence and increasing the threats.
  • Strategic Threat: Experts note that while US/Israel strikes can degrade Iran's launch capabilities, its high-volume, "endless-like" production allows them to continue threatening the region.
  • Sustainment: While Iran's ability to produce weapons under sanctions is a concern, sustained high-intensity combat could still exhaust its stocks over time.
    BBC +6
Although some of Iran's capacities were damaged in recent conflicts, its ability to manufacture these weapons domestically ensures they retain a significant threat in the region.

US says it has destroyed Iran missile capacity: How is Iran still shooting?
