Looking at the lyrics, I’m not sure what the hubub is about. It’s a political song, but the only thing I can see that makes it lean left or right is the part about not being a part of a redneck agenda…ok which I guess could be tie to the right? Which isn’t really relevant because there are a lot of republicans who are not redneck..

So, I think it’s the perception of the intent of the song. I believe they said it was a political attack on George bush..or something like that.

I personally like Green Day.
