I don't know. The whole situation is messed up. I imagine when you are an oppressed person to begin with that it doesn't take a whole lot to get you to submit with some inhumane actions, like we see from ISIS. As for the regimes in the ME that seem to be sitting around and doing nothing to stop the carnage? I don't know what is going on there.
