Old Navy makes Grammar mistake.

Didn't any of those rocket scientists catch this error before all the shirts were made? :cuckoo:

Grammar fail on Old Navy's college t-shirts. Uh oh. on Shine

That pales in comparison to the glaring mistakes I see fairly regularly by PROFESSIONAL WRITERS - novels, online articles at places like CNN.com, etc etc etc.

English is becoming optional, replced by childish gibberish.

"like OMG LOL you're my BFF CU later" blah etc

We just had a discussion, on another board, about the growing popularity of "text-speak'.

Teachers are starting to see it crop up in essays, even.

My weird way of typing is reserved for strictly humor sites.
It's difficult to be taken seriously, in a debate, when you start typing like that

I see it by TV News people, professionals, etc.

Big surprise. I can just see the puzzled looks from kids when they get dinged for it (assuming they do - I shudder to think of what teachers let slide by these days).

I can;t handle "text speak". On the rare occasions when I use text messaging, I spell words out. No "CU L8r" for me.
