Why wouldn't you hire one? Women are much better at some jobs than men.

I believe in strict gender roles, and always have. There are very few jobs which I believe women are suited for, and even in most of those fields I’d prefer a male employee. Just my ideology since forever and forever to come.

The government has no business making sure stuff like that doesn't happen. If the government itself wants to not discriminate, it can do that. But it shouldn't compel private entities to do the same. This is the government forcing its brand of morality on people. And it's wrong.

The history and present of this country make your question invalid. Like I said, if everything had been the same for everybody, then you could ask that question but when we have laws on the books and whites are still doing this:

Imagine that I am an employer interviewing applicants. One applicant has an angelic face and a gorgeous smile, and the other has an ugly face. Guess who I am gonna hire, all things being equal? I guess this fits the definition of what a lefty would call discrimination, but to me there is nothing bad or malicious going on in my mind at all. Im just doing what comes to me naturally. In fact it comes to all of us naturally, and that is to give a good-looking human better treatment. Lefties don't like this (especially when it happens in a racial context), but it's simply just a natural human instinct. Besides, if I don't want to be fair in my hiring decisions, that is none of a lefty's or the government's business. I don't owe anybody a job. I am under no obligation to be fair to anybody. And if the government tries to use its arbitrary power to force me to hire who I don't want to hire, I will tell it to f*ck right off.

Lefties and the government need to realize that Nature is not fair, the world is not fair, and there are simply humans who are more beautiful, smarter, taller, more disciplined, more graceful, more likeable..etc etc, than other humans. It is unwise to force people to be fair. It is unnatural, and it's not right. The government does not have any business telling private entities to be fair. If it wants to be fair, that's its business. But it shouldn't try to tell us to be fair. Why should we be fair? Because the government says so? The government can go suck something for all I care.

I retired from my own business that required me to visit other mostly small businesses, some on a regular basis, and I got to know quite a few owners/managers personally enough we could talk about things.

And many of those proprietors told me that they hired the best people they could get regardless of color, creed, gender etc. but also considered how the person would fit in with everybody else. The last thing they wanted was a toxic situation or drama in the work place or somebody with a chip on his/her shoulder just looking for an excuse to sue or make trouble.

So maybe that employer didn't have a lot of diversity on his/her workforce but it was obviously a happy place to work.

Good, that means nothing. Citizens don't have the ability to build thousands of miles of interstate. So that means we depend on the gov't to provide us infrastructure to operate our business. When roads get rough, when bridges wash out, who do you call to complain to? Private citizens? Um no, the gov't.
