How is he wrong? A "right" is something you have that cannot be abridged. It is not something you can force others to provide for you. You have the right, for example, to free political speech. That means you can say whatever you want to about a politician. You don't, though, have the right to force your neighbor to pay for commercial time so you can say those things on TV. You can have the "right" to healthcare to the extent that no one can legally prevent you from accessing it, but forcing your neighbor to pay for your health insurance is not a right. Forcing one person to work for another person is.....
If a person doesn't have access to health care they can die. A person has the right to live.
If you disagree then all yours and conservatives screaming about abortion and right to life is just the lie I've believed it is for many decades.
On the contrary, you have the right to access healthcare. No one will stop you. What you DON'T have the right to do is force other people to pay for it. That would be no different from going into your neighbor's house and taking his money at gunpoint to pay for your Viagra. And, your last sentence is beyond stupid, thus ignored.
I'm not forcing anyone to pay for my health care. I get my insurance through my husband's work. We pay monthly premiums, deductibles and co-pays.
If you feel that the government shouldn't subsidize insurance for those who can't afford it then you don't believe that everyone has a right to life.
Maybe you should start whining about all the subsidies to so many corporations and people in our nation. You may not like subsidies but anyone who buys a house is being subsidized by the government by the deduction they get off their taxes for the interest. Just about all deductions off taxes are a subsidy.
But you show that the garbage you and others spew about right to life and abortion is nothing but all lies. If you don't believe that Americans have the right to health care and help to pay for if they can't afford it, then you don't believe that Americans have a right to life.
If you want people to be able to afford their own health care then you better stop fighting and making excuses to not raise the minimum wage. You selfishly advocate that the minimum wage not be raised. How do you expect people to afford health care if they aren't making much money? And how about advocating for those minimum wage employers to offer low cost insurance? If you don't want to pay for it then advocate for those minimum wage employers do what most other employers do and offer low cost insurance to their employees.
What you don't realize is that you're paying for it already and have been for decades. Only you're paying at the highest rate because those without insurance go to the ER where the rates are many times higher than a regular doctor's office. So you will always be paying for someone else's health care. I'm just advocating that we pay as little as possible. You want to pay as much as possible.
It's funny, you have no problem with rich corporations and rich people getting all those subsidies they don't need but a person who isn't rich who needs heath care, you want them to die because you don't want to pay for their health care even though you've been doing that for decades.
